Project Management
Over the past year I've had the opportunity to lead a team in the development of the cloud based education app AIVA.
I got to bring a number of skills that I have been developing over my many years of work to bear as team leader, with resounding success (according to my colleagues).
I feel my strengths lie in my communication skills, as I am able to work with directors to tease out the short and long-term goals of the project with sufficient clarity to produce and design accurate tasks and systems.
Once I confirm the designs are accurate I formalise the tasks, providing supporting illustrations, documentations and meetings to members of the team to ensure that the tasks are well understood and questions are answered before work begins.
I am a big fan of formalising processes and I like to work with each member of the team to develop processes that can allow them to excel. I work with team members to ensure time estimates are up-to-date and problems are surfaced early, in a format that suits each member so as not to be overbearing.
I also have a lot of experience working with different departments and success training new team members.
